Data Collection

The RDHFL has world class data collection capabilities for use in simulations and other human factors activities. These include video and audio recordings, questionnaires and surveys, eye tracking, communications (e.g., average duration of air-ground communications), air traffic safety and efficiency parameters (e.g., number of aircraft in the sector), controller workload (using the Air Traffic Workload Input Technique [ATWIT]), situation awareness (using SPAM, SAGANT, and SAVANT), and user-system interaction (e.g., number of data entry errors).
